Rest in Peace
Huddersfield bowling lost three bowlers this week with the passing of John Lee, Norman Snowball and John Bleazard.
John Leewas bowling up until Christmas every Friday at The Dome with some of his Springwood teammates. He was taken ill late in the year and died at home in the early hours of Thursday (23rd) morning. John, aged 79, also bowled for Ravensknowle Park. His funeral will take place at Huddersfield Crematorium on Wednesday 22nd March at 11.15 am.
Norman Snowball passed away last Sunday at a Longwood care home aged 92. He bowled for a number of local clubs including Thorpe Green, Golcar Lib and Crosland Moor. Service and Committal at Huddersfield Crematorium on Monday March 13th at 2.45pm.
Since the original posting of the news of the first two deaths I have subsequently learnt of a third. John Bleazard a bowler with Waterloo has now joined the team of bowlers to have passed on this year. Our commiserations to all the friends and families of all three Huddersfield bowlers.
