Despite a 2-6 defeat to Dalton, Rastrick managed to crawl over the line to claim second place in the Division 4 table and as that was the last match of the season that 2nd place ensures that they have won promotion. A one-point lead over Netherton Con A after a sixth match without a win is hardly a strong finish to the campaign but is sufficient to clinch promotion into Division 3 next season.
The fixture between Milnsbridge B and Thorpe Green B was always going to send the loser through the relegation trapdoor and so it was as Thorpe Green B went down 2-6 and need to set up camp at Lindley Lib next season. Linthwaite Hall A finished the season strongly with a run of four straight wins the last one being the most creditable with a 6-2 win over the Champions, Slaithwaite. A mid-season dip consisting of 5 consecutive defeats saw then drop from top of the table to a relegation place but they finished the season strongly and safe in mid-table.

Jackson Bridge and Elland WMC started the last day of the season in 2nd and 3rd places in the Division 4 table. A head-to-head meeting of the two was a promotion decider with Jackson Bridge best placed with a 6-points lead. However the new boys from Elland hadn't read the script and collected a promotion-clinching 8-0 win over their main rivals to swap places in the table.
In fact it got worse than that as Milnsbridge C claimed a 6-2 last-day win over relegated Springwood B and also passed Jackson Bridge in the process. Final day wins for Champions Lindley Lib C (6-2 v Paddock I&C) and Kirkheaton C&BC A (8-0 v Almondbury BC A completed the fixture programme with no further surprises.
