Winter League
The green team at Thorpe Green worked really hard to clear two-thirds of the green of the snow on Sunday. The plan being to clear the rest on Monday morning but another hard overnight frost scuppered that idea. The cleared green had frozen over and was slippery making it dangerous to walk on.
In the interests of bowler safety, it was considered best to postpone the matches. So despite their best efforts, Thorpe Green felt they had no alternative other than to postpone all the matches this week. The Monday morning photos below tell their own story.
