Winter League
Before the Division 5 Qualifying Round of the Winter Cup started a quick presentation was made to the Top Division 5 Bowler of the season. The title hadn't been decided at the time of the last league match of the season so the opportunity was taken to make the presentation to Bob Booth of Lindley Lib C at Friday's Winter Cup event.
Bob Haigh presented the Treasurer's Trophy to Bob Booth who won 10 of the 12 matches he played in. It proved to be a good omen for Bob as he went on to become one of the two Winter Cup qualifiers later in the day's proceedings.
The third qualifying competition in the 2025 Winter Cup was held on Friday when 15 Division 5 bowlers braved the wintry west wind at Lindley Lib to battle down to two qualifiers. There was a strong batch of Elland WMC representatives with two of them meeting in the last stage of the day's event. Philip Binns winning that in-house confrontation with teammate Frank Turner to progress through to the Round of the Last 16 to be played at Netherton Con on Sunday 30 March.

Tim Poulter (Clayton West) and Shaun Irving (Milnsbridge A)
who all progress through to the Round of the Last 16 which will be played at Netherton Con on Sunday 30 March from 1.00pm.

Division 7 Thursday 13 February at Huddersfield RUFC Then the final 2025 Winter Cup qualifier will be held at Milnsbridge BC on Wednesday 19 February for Division 1 bowlers.
Entry is still open for all these rounds. Entry closes at 5.00pm on the day before the date of the qualifying round. Use the online Entry Form to secure your place on the green. The draw is made for each round at green side on the day of the matches.
