Winter Cup Last 24 Qualifiers

Winter League

The next stage of the 2024 Winter Cup is the Round of the Last 24 which will be held at Lindley Liberal Club on Wednesday 10 April starting at 1.00pm. Playing down to the last 8 who will progress through to Finals Day which will be held at the same venue on the following Sunday 14 April again starting at 1.00pm.

With the two previous winners of the title - Steve Haigh in 2022 and Ian Briggs last year - both going out of the competition in the Division 1 Qualifying Round there will be a new name on the trophy this year. But who will it be?

Adrian 'Crafty' Cooper is the only remaining bowler left in the competition from the top 10 in the Division 1 Averages table and with a +1 handicap start will be a strong contender. The Cowcliffe A side have had a strong first season in the League and with three qualifiers will fancy their chances of having an interest in the later stages as will Marsh United who also have three bowlers in the last 24. It all depends on the draw which will be made in advance of the match date at the Management Committee meeting on 28 March and will apear on this website soon after that.
