Winter League
Part 4 of our report back on the findings from the Winter League bowler's survey looks at two questions we asked about the preferred day of the week for matches to be played in 2021-22.
Currently matches are played on a Tuesday with Thursday being used to catch up on lost fixtures. To the question what is your preferred day of the week to bowl Winter League matches on, just over half of the responses favoured retaining Tuesday as the main playing day. The days either side of that - Monday and Wednesday - both received 22% of the votes with little support for Thursday or Friday as the main playing day.
We also asked the question 'What day of the week would you be prepared to bowl matches on?' Again Tuesday proved to be the top selection with each of the other weekdays receiving at least 57% of the votes. There was practically no support for playing matches on a Saturday or Sunday.
That concludes the feedback from the survey and we are very grateful to all those that took the time to complete the online form. All this information will help form our thinking and planning for next season and it is clear that there are a number of areas where we need to go back to the clubs to look again at the areas these findings have indicated need reviewing.
