Winter League
Every one was a winner at the Winter League's first ever End-of-Season Party and Presentation Event held at Lindley Liberal Club last Friday including the five Top Bowlers of 2023. Here is a further range of photos taken by Bob Haigh and these are the five individual winners of the Top Bowler from each of the five divisions in the League. Well done to all of them.
We were especially delighted to include two new trophies among the five with two new divisions to add to the catalogue of winners. The Tony Booth Memorial Trophy was donated by Tony's wife, Michelle, in memory of her husband and Lowerhouses teammate. It was fitting that a Lowerhouses bowler claimed the first presentation of this award with Steve Lee coming top of the Division 4 table. The second new trophy was donated by the Parr family in memory of Dave Horsfall who was a Milnsbridge bowler and the brother-in-law of Graham and Ian Parr. Dave was married to Hilary (nee Parr) the sister of Graham and Ian so again a very apt first winner of the new trophy.
Tomorrow we parade the team winners of the five divisions.
Use the side arrows to scroll through all five photos and the details of each are named below.
