Winter League
It was Party time at Netherton Cons Club last Friday where we had some fun which included the presentation of awards to the teams winning their respective Division Titles and the Top Bowlers from each Division as well.
Margaret Whitwam (above) receives the Best of the Rest Trophy from Winter League Chairman Richard Long. Golcar C&BC were the Division 8 Champions and received this new trophy which has been donated to the League by retiring Chairman, Mike Ralph.
The Division 8 Top Bowler was Gill Todd of Golcar C&BC and she is seen receiving the new Evie Grace Cup donated to the League by Peter Swinden.
Debra Farrar captain of the Cowcliffe B team who won the Division 7 title receives the new Tedbar Tinker Trophy sponsored by Bob Swan.
Chairman Richard Long presents the Division 7 Top Bowler award to Cowcliffe B bowler Debra Farrar. This is a new trophy sponsored by Peter Swinden named after his latest grandchild, the Charlie Jude Cup.
Robert Tracey as captain of the Division 6 Champions, Almondbury BC B receives the Netherton Cons Cup from the sponsoring club official Geoff Dyson.
John Hodgson of Almondbury BC B was the Division 6 Top Bowler after winning all 11 of his matches this year. He receives the Netherton Con Greenkeeper Cup from the Netherton Con Greenkeeper, Geoff Dyson.
